Hannah Beth is a traditional fiddler of Fairfax, Vermont. Her fiddle sings the melodies of Scotland, Cape Breton, and Ireland as her bow dances across the strings. When she first started playing, she participated in the group called the Fiddleheads, lead by Mark Sustic. Hannah Beth has also participated in 'Young Traditions of Vermont', performed at Middlebury Concert on the Green, Flynn Space, Sheldon Grace Church, New World Festival, Champlain Folk Festival, and John Moriarty's Pub, in Dingle, Ireland.
Hannah Beth occasionally joins the local traditional Irish band, Longford Row, at Ri Ra Irish Pub--Burlington and on their new CD to be released soon. She has worked with New Age composer Al Conti on his GRAMMY nominated album entitled “Northern Seas,” as well as his latest album, entitled “The Blue Rose,” to be released in May, 2013.
After living in Scotland as a child, and visiting often since, Hannah Beth has discovered that her home is there. When she plays, she attempts to recreate the feelings of home in her music by connecting with the music with deeper meaning. She notes that it is like an obligation to not only keep the traditions alive and well but to make them enjoyable. Fiddling was not the first form of music but it was part of the journey. Hannah Beth has a Bachelors degree in Music from Saint Michael's College, Vermont (2013) and will be a licensed Elementary Educator by the end of this year.
